Train Line to be Reopened Following Track Washout near Percé, Quebec

Montreal - VIA Rail Canada has announced that passenger train service between New Carlisle and Gaspé, in both directions, will be back to normal as of Saturday, November 10. A track washout on November 7 caused by flooding near Percé, Québec, had forced the cancellation of all rail traffic in the area.

VIA train #16 operates from Montreal to Gaspé every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. VIA #17 operates from Gaspé to Montreal every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
